Dan received his B.A. degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and earned a J.D. from the University at Buffalo Law School. He also holds the honor of an LL.M. from William & Mary Law School.
Dan has worked at the Legal Aid Society, Criminal Defense Division, Bronx County, and the New York State Attorney General’s Office, New York County, and is currently a partner at Mentzer & Sheindlin.
A seasoned trial attorney and legal analyst, Dan has handled high-profile criminal cases, led 90 trials — including 32 homicide cases—and served as a sought-after expert for Court TV.
This Fall, Dan will be joining the esteemed panel of judges on the nationally syndicated, hit courtroom series, Hot Bench. This summer, he will appear as a trial attorney in JUDGE JUDY PRESENTS: JUSTICE ON TRIAL, a new Amazon series reenacting landmark trials.
NICOLE SHEINDLIN, ESQ

Nicole received her BA degree from the University at Buffalo and earned a J.D. from New York Law School. Nicole worked for twelve years at the Legal Aid Society, Bronx County, where she handled all aspects of criminal cases from arrest and arraignment through trial. She is a partner at Mentzer & Sheindlin and also the founder and executive director of Her Honor Mentoring.
